b]My name is Robin Del Toro. I have a beautiful daughter named Isabel. She is seven years old. I just recently got out of a nine year marriage and I am looking to find some people that I have things in common with that I can come to for advice about my daughter, about the lack of involvement from her father, and for any kind of advice I can get. I am 31 years old, unemployed and living with my father  Embarrassed. I'm trying to get on my own two feet but I don't even know where to begin.  Cry I don't know what else to say in this introduction but as time goes by, you might not be able to shut me up.  Grin Anyway, if you want to get back with me, feel welcome to. I am looking for as many new friends as possible to help me out through this very emotional and stressful time. Talk to you soon.  Wink [/b]

Welcome!  I'm also in my 30's with a 7 year old girl at home (almost 8 ) as well as a 4 year old boy.  I'm sure it is hard being back w/ a parent, but be thankful there is somewhere for you to go.  Feel free to vent all you want and ask anyone anything.  Many have been though similar situations.  There are great people here!

Hello!

Steve and I are the resident romantics. We met here on the forum and are now engaged- the wedding is set for October. We live in New Zealand with my 5 year old son, his 14 year old son, and his 12 year old daughter.

Post away! Grin

Hi Robin, I see you made it to the forum, Yay! Just keep posting, it's slow right now due to summer (for most of us, it's winter in New Zealand though!)

We are here whenever you need someone to talk to or if you just want to get stuff out of your head for awhile.

Many of us are familiar with the uninvolved / underinvolved other parent syndrome. Not much you can do about it but make your daughter know that she is loved and that the two of you together are a whole family even if you don't feel that way right now.

Hi Robin!  I'm Debbie, mother of 2 great kids... somehow they managed to turn 12 and 10 when I wasn't looking!  Welcome to our corner of the world!

Post away... what you'll discover is we've been hanging out together for quite a long time, and we are one big ol family... so pull up a chair and don't be a stranger....

Hi Robin, Nice to meet you, I'm Tim.  no kids but that's a story for another time.  I'm on vacation in 6 minutes so I'll catch up in a week.  I hope you feel truly at home by then.

Hi from the other coast.  Hope you are finding that your days are getting better slowly.  I'm the single mom of 4, ages 6 (almost) to 17 (almost).  I've been been on my own for a little more than 2 years, and life is getting to be really nice now.

Hi Robin,
I am Natalie mama to one little girl Aliya 3 1/2 going on 16. LOL. Her dad has been out of the picture since she was 2 month old when we left CO and moved to San Diego to closer to our family.
