Shannon it sounds like you all are a super busy family and I'm so happy to hear it. It is amazing how far all of us have come in the past few years. I think everyone of us has grown stronger and smarter. It is crazy how our kids have grown too! My daughter Lauren just started 8th grade yesterday and my son Taylor started 5th grade. They have become so independent, which is good in most every way. I do miss them being little, but it's nice too that I now have more time to focus on my own needs and work and interests.

I've been dabbling in digital scrapbooking and making banners for my blog. I just love it, I wish I had more time to learn how to use more of the features in Photoshop Elements. It's a lot of fun. I can't say I've actually gotten around to scrapping our photos though! LOL! Scrapbooking is one of those things I really really want to do, but I also know how addictive I am to arts & crafts stuff and I'm afraid if I get into it too much I'll bankrupt us! There's just way too many pretties and tools and papers and tools and tools and tools that I would want to have!

Tell your hubby we said hello too! And to get himself in here and say hi back!

Dianne, I checked out your website, lots of pretty neat stuff there.  Excellent job on getting that going. Smiley

as I have been reading, I do remember quite a few people way cool!

My last 4 years have been very busy. I moved 300 miles from where I was living and found a new teaching job here. I subbed the first year, and now have a full time position.   I am a class sponsor, and will be the seniors this year. So we are planning senior trip to Disney this spring.  Last spring we put on Prom, that was quite a bit of time and fun!  They are a great group to work with.

I am also the Student council sponsor, and that group keeps me very busy. We do Sadie Hawkins dance, along with a Dodgeball tourney each year, post prom and 1-2 events in house every month. We go to six flags at the end of the year to celebrate those who put in time to the group.  That is a fun experience. I took 18 girls and 1 guy this year, along with my own family on a big yellow school bus for an entire day.  They have a blast.

I am still scrapbooking and my hubby is doing his archery, which we all do together, so that is a real fun family event.  We get to go to different events around the midwest.  This year we went to Oklahoma and one in MO.  We also go to one in IN and TN.  The kids have a great time and have some good friends to hang with at the different events.  And like everyone else on here, they are getting soo big.  My son will be in JH next year, that is flooring me. Smiley

Have a wonderful day, I am headed off to do some work in my classroom.

Hey Shannon! So glad you joined us! We are looking forward to catching up with you and Lenny(sp? not sure that's the right spelling - I've slept a few times since you guys came around!). I hope he will pop in and say hello too! We have several dads here and it's a good group. We don't have any real drama going on round here, just hanging out and keeping up with each other.

I'm not here a lot, as I am now running my own online boutique where I sell purses I design and handcraft, along with sewing patterns and other accessories.

Hi, my name is Shannon
I was around years ago when I was a single mom, but have been married for 4 years now.
I live in MO, and teach High School.  I have 2 kids and my hubby has 2.
We keep busy with the kids and our own hobbies. I scrapbook and he makes bows. We all enjoy archery.
See you on the forum
